Good questionnaires yield valuable information
Some “experts” will tell you that long questionnaires get few responses. Don’t believe them. If you do them right, and know the tricks, you can get great response rates. We've done this many times.
We helped a chain of 100 shops with an extensive survey to account customers some 25,000 customers. The 24% responses revealed a huge amount of information, augmented by some telephone follow up to respondents and non-respondents. And some immediate sales.
We helped a major UK plc with a mailing to a segment of its. It achieved their highest ever response rate - 36% - over 6,000 responses, many of which were valuable sales leads. It identified an instant market for a new service, worth many millions of pounds. It was introduced within a year and instantly fully subscribed especially from these leads.
